Building my Career Project
Presentación
The aim of this course is to guide students in the construction of their professional career project. This is a practical course in which students will begin with a self-assessment process of their professional profile. They will then analyse the opportunities currently available to them and will end the course with a decision-making process that includes a medium-term action plan.
Objetivos
At the end of this course, the doctoral students will learn how to manage their professional careers, with the following learning outcomes:
They will learn to review their priorities, values, current capabilities, commitments, and career constraints to enhance or revise their career at any time.
How to explore the range of options and possibilities for a future career.
They will be able to design their career objectives, plan the steps to achieve them and decide on actions to affect their career plan.

1. Career development concepts
2. Self-assessment of skills, interests, and values
3. Identifying my long and medium-term career goals
4. Developing a plan to improve/acquire the competencies needed to achieve my goals
5. Plans for the next school year in order to increase my effectiveness and productivity.
6. Individual assessment of each plan by the teacher.
Metodología
An interactive method, with short teaching sessions, where learning and understanding are based on the practical expertise gained by the students in performing the proposed activities.
Curriculum abreviado del docente
Psychologist with 19 years of experience in higher education and 12 years of experience in research management and knowledge transfer in addictions. My work currently includes being a counsellor for PhD students, creating and delivering career and job search workshops to assist students in making informed career choices. As an advisor, I coach students through the vocational exploration and career decision-making process.
